Your first boot into Linux
If you made it this far, your ready to boot into Linux.  Put the CD into the bay, reboot your machine and if your lucky, you will be booting into Linux instead of Windows.

Playing In Linux for the first time
One of the first things you will notice is that the desktop usually offers a similar appearance and operation as Windows.  Or at least similar enough to be able to find your way around.  The tricky part is that Linux uses all kinds of strange names to denote applications.  Like K3B for example.  How does a name like K3B relate to being a top-notch CD burning application?

Konqueror, now this is a strange name for an application.  But it can be your most powerful too in a KDE desktop system.  Think of Konqueror as the 'Windows Explorer' of the KDE Desktop system.  It can be a web browser, file manager, FTP to servers, etc.

Another thing you will notice is that there is a great number of applications that just come with Linux that in a Windows system are extra and cost money.
