A good 20% of all newly created user accounts never get activated. Generally this is because some mail servers block our registration emails which are required for automated account creation. AOL stands out as one of the primary offenders to this process. However, if you inadvertently gave us bogus email address, the result will also be the same. Basically... You never get the email or you never open it up, thus you never click on the link in that email. And because of that, the new account never gets activated. The alternative to this process is that someone has to manually create and/or activate each individual account. Being that I didn't want to stay up 24/7 creating and activating new accounts, I opted for an automated process as you can have a working account within a few minutes at any time of the day or night. If you do not get the registration email within 2 to 5 minutes of your creating your new account, you are in that 20% category and will need to have your account manually activated. Ok, So you have tried everything and still can not get your account activated. There are a few ways to get the account activated, but all of them involve getting touch with someone directly. After you create your account, you will need to send an email to iuec139aa@bellsouth.net. Please include with this email the account username, the email address associated with this account and you will need to also include a telephone number where someone can speak with you directly. It would be also good to note the time of day (EST/EDT) you can receive phone calls at the number you gave. Important Note: I will not be able to call international telephone numbers. If you are oversees, it is important that you have a working email address that can accept and respond to email. Some tips for successfully creating an account: Use a valid email account when creating the account. It only needs to be valid during the registration process and if you ever forget your password and need to have it reset at some point in the future. (Important Note: We do not have access to your password. There is no way to recover it from our side. The only way to fix this is to manually reset the password to something else and send the new password to the address associated with that account.) Check to see that the email address iuec139aa@bellsouth.net is not blocked by your mail server or by your spam software. Emails sent by the this site for registration purposes are sent from this account. Privacy Statement: The only purpose of requiring a valid email address is to validate that someone that wishes to create a new account can do so at any time of the day or night. We do not share or sell your information with others, nor do we send out any newsletters or other "spam-like" emails. The email you submit for your user account is not automatically posted to the Membership Directory. The Membership Directory is a purely optional and voluntary listing and is not related to the IUEC Local 139 user accounts list what-so-ever. Each user has to ask to be added or removed from the Membership Directory listing separate from any user account creation transactions. The email address you submit is kept private and is only used as a vehicle for maintaining your IUEC Local 139 account.
