APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY - ELEVATOR CONSTRUCTORS
International Union Elevator Constructors Local 62 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee located at 615 W. Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13204 will be accepting applications for its 4 year program. August 15, 2007 from 8:00am-12pm and 1:00pm-5pm. Starting wage for Apprentice is $17.24 per hour. Work outlook anticipates possibly 6 apprenticeship openings.
REQUIREMENTS:
You must apply in person at the office.
•18 years of age at time of application.
•Possess a high school diploma of GED.
•Must have own transportation to and from job sites and training facility.
•Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job: lifting, climbing, working at heights.
•Sit for scheduled Elevator Industry Aptitude Test ($10 fee at time of test)
•Must pass (score at least 70) on test to be considered.
•Sit for scheduled interview with Local 62 JATC.
•Submit to physical exam and substance abuse test paid for by contractor when hired.
